I always liked it when old songs had vastly-inferior sequels. The Creature from the Deep finds love in this one.

It’s not treated as heavily as last year’s edition, but I think the mix still retains the grungy, slipshod feeling.

A little lo-fi wad of bubblegum pop from last Halloween. The composition and mix were aimed at creating the impression of one of those little paper records you might find on the back of a cereal box.

Haunted Mansion

I didn’t really find love (or anything like it) at the Haunted Mansion, but I did find this song in the shower the other morning.

This song features: juvenile lyrics, appalling slant rhyme, a corny synth solo, and sloppily-sung harmonies.

MeFiMu Promo

A quick and dirty promo for Metafilter Music for the August Music Challenge. I got to do one of my favorite musical things here: mimicry. Each segment is a slightly off-kilter caricature of a frequent MeFiMu poster or specific MeFiMu post.

I will forever regret the “feeds my soul” line; I was singing mostly-random words at that point and, unfortunately, that one stuck. Ick.

Little Donut Party

I dreamed this entire song the other night: every word. I woke up thinking, “Hm, that was odd.” So I recorded it.

I don’t know what a Little Donut Party is, but I’m sure it involves endless sleeves of delicious Hostess Donettes.
